Do you enjoy acting but don't want the worry of learning lines? Then our play reading sessions are what you need! BPLTC has introduced these sessions in conjunction with the show selection team to help us hear how a play sounds when read by enthusiastic actors.

Our next play reading, written by Oscar Wilde will be

An ideal husband

An ideal husband (1895) is a satirical play focusing on Sir Robert Chiltern, a respected politician whose pristine reputation as an 'ideal husband' is threatened by blackmail.

Mrs Cheveley threatens to expose that his wealth came from selling a government secret. With help from his friend Lord Goring, the scandal is averted, teaching his moralising wife, Lady Chiltern, to forgive human imperfections.

Come along and join us at the Wendy L Beckett Studio, Saturday 21st March , 2026 at 10:30am for this session.

Our next play reading, written by Oscar Wilde will be 'An ideal husband' - March 21st @ 10:30am
